Transforming traditional docent services into personalized, Real-time exhibition journeys.
2025-07-07
Traditional museum docent services have long relied on audio guide rentals, QR code scanning, or manual searches. While functional, these approaches fall short in delivering interactive, real-time, and personalized experiences tailored to each visitor’s location and interests. To overcome these limitations, we’ve introduced a next-generation digital guide system powered by Ultra-Wide band technology offering precise indoor positioning and an immersive exhibition experience.
UWB Real-Time Location & Personalized Docent Services
This project leverages real-time location data from visitors’ UWB-enabled smartphones, captured by in-museum Locators (e.g., AN200) and processed through the Geospace Location Engine. The result is an intelligent guide that adapts dynamically to each visitor’s journeys.
Location-Based Interactive Guide
As visitors approach specific artworks, the mobile app automatically plays audio or multimedia content related to the nearby exhibit—offering a seamless, hands-free experience.
Key Benefits:
Hands-free, intuitive user experience
Enhanced visitor engagement through contextual storytelling
No need for additional hardware—just a smartphone
The UWB-based digital guide system isn’t just an upgrade to audio guides—it’s a transformative solution that turns passive viewing into personalized exploration. Museums adopting this technology can offer a smarter, richer, and more accessible cultural journey—enhancing both visitor satisfaction and operational performance.
This innovative system is already enhancing visitor experiences at renowned institutions such as https://www.leeumhoam.org
